The Last Dungeon was a year long production at my school's in house animation studio. Lighting was actually the last thing that I did on the project and ended up being my favorite! These shots that you see below are the first shots that I had ever lit. It was certainly a challenge to learn on the fly after being an assets person, but I would not trade the experience for the world.

I was responsible for modeling the highlighted lighter assets in the environment breakdown as well. Because it was such a large room, and in unreal with repeatable aspects, I learned how to create a sort of modular set up of individual assets in Maya then moved them into Unreal and set them up with splines and other tools.

During post production I was responsible primarily for lighting and render.

I hope you enjoyed!
